Deaf
Resources Center
The
Deaf Resources Center serves as a repository of information related
to deafness and the Deaf community for students as well as other
interested persons. The Center provides a multimedia display of
facts related to deaf education, culture, history, organizations,
law and civil rights, sports, and the media. The Deaf Resources
Center maintains a display of assistive devices used by deaf and
hard of hearing individuals, their families, friends and members
of the community.
Deaf Resources Center staff conduct ASL story telling for students,
advise teachers, other staff and family members on issues of Deaf
culture, provide tours of the Lexington School/Lexington Center
for parents and community members and facilitate positive relations
between the hearing and deaf-hard of hearing communities at Lexington.
