Employment
Within the
Supported Employment Program, staff assist clients with the preparation
for employment as well as the support services for retaining employment.
A comprehensive approach to service delivery includes pre-employment
counseling which highlights work values, employer expectations,
relations with co-workers, job responsibilities, and career advancement
opportunities. Counseling focuses on resume preparation, interviewing
skills, job search techniques, and work place adjustment. After
job placement, assistance and support to both employers and consumers
assures a smooth integration of the employee to the world of work
along with the analysis and implementation of accommodations if
needed.
